Emma Jonson is widely recognised as one of the must see blues pianists in the UK, having quickly built a reputation as an energetic, exciting and charismatic performer. Emma works all over the UK, Europe and USA, not only with her own band, but supporting artists such as Jamie Cullum, Heather Small (M-People) and Roy Wood (ELO, Wizard) and more recently touring with the chart topping American band Beaux Gris Gris.
Emma started out as a young creative boogie woogie piano player, releasing an instrumental album ‘Not Quite’ which received critical acclaim. Finding her voice, she went onto experiment with her songwriting gaining BBC radio airplay with an EP ‘Paradox’. Emma subsequently created a unique live set of blues, funk, rock and heart felt songwriting, appealing to wide demographic of fans.
Her debut studio album, Crazy, is dedicated to the songwriting side of Emmas personality, which when performed live, take on a life of their own with adventurous arrangements and solos, not only from herself but her dynamic and accomplished band members.
